Research Activities
The objective of my research is to develop a new approach to assess and enhance protein stability, using cutinase from Fusarium solani pisi as a model-system. This approach is based on the use of synthetic affinity ligands as a new protein-stabilizing tool. Such ligands are based on a triazine-ring scaffold, used as a framework for the display of two functional groups. It is envisaged that selected synthetic ligands will have a potentially stabilizing effect, through the establishment of affinity-like interactions with the enzyme.
